Yummy Candied Apples

Yields: 6 servings 

Ingredients
6 Granny Smith apples
3 ounces of bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
2 ½ ounces of white baking chocolate, coarsely chopped
6 wooden sticks

Instructions
  1. Wash and dry the apples; remove stems.  Insert a wooden stick into the stem end of each apple.
  2. Place the bittersweet chocolate in a glass bowl and microwave on HIGH for 1 minute or until melted, stirring every 20 seconds. Reserve.
  3. Place the white chocolate in a glass bowl and microwave on HIGH for 1 minute or until melted, stirring every 15 seconds. Reserve.
  4. Working with one apple at a time, hold the apple over a bowl; using a spoon, drizzle about 2 teaspoons of the bittersweet chocolate on the apple.  Place the apple on a baking sheet covered with wax paper.  Repeat with the rest of the apples.
  5. Working with one apple at a time, hold the apple over a bowl; using a spoon, drizzle about 1 ½ teaspoons of the white chocolate on the apple.  Place the apple on a baking sheet covered with wax paper.  Repeat with the rest of the apples.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
