Melon Avocado Smoothie
This Melon Avocado Smoothie is so light and refreshing. The greek yogurt adds protein, and the avocado adds heart healthy fat. Together, these ingredients are sure to fill you up, making this smoothie the perfect snack or breakfast.
Makes: 2 Servings
1 ripe avocado, pit removed
1 cup honeydew melon chunks
Juice from ½ lime (about 1 ½ tsp lime juice)
1 cup milk, 1 % or skim
1 cup plain fat free yogurt, or Greek yogurt for more protein
½ cup 100% apple juice or white grape juice
1 Tbs honey
Note: This keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. If made ahead, stir or shake gently before pouring into glasses.
